"This is very ripe though the expressive nose manages to retain good freshness to the liqueur-like dark pinot, spice and earth aromas. There is a certain elegance to the delicious medium weight flavors that are attractive in their fashion but don't offer the same depth as the Les Duresses on the ever-so-mildly dry finish. Once again the balance isn't perfect yet this should offer satisfaction over the short to medium-term." - Allen Meadows
